AIMPES LEATHER GOODS COMPANIES CELEBRATES THE ITALIAN STYLE
AT 51st “MODA ITALIA” INTERNATIONAL FASHION SHOW IN TOKYO
A group of AIMPES leathergoods companies will present their Spring Summer Collections 2018 at Moda Italia International fashion show, from 4 to 6 of July 2017, at the Belle Salle Shybuya Garden, in Tokyo.
Reached its 51st edition and organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) – MODA ITALIA continues to be an important point of reference for top and mid-level Italian leather goods companies seeking new growth opportunities in terms of exports and for strengthening existing commercial relationships with Japanese companies. At this edition, the companies will present their SS18 Made in Italy collections.
Moda Italia will start on the 4th of July 2017 with the presentation of 36 leather goods companies, which include the following AIMPES members and MIPEL exhibitors:
ALMA TONUTTI, ANTONYGROUP, ARCADIA, BOLDRINI SELLERIA, BONFANTI BORSE, BRUNO ROSSI BAGS, C.A.P.A.F, CARL LAICH, CHIARUGI FIRENZE PELLETTERIA, D&D GROUP, DEL CONTE, FALOR, GHIBLI, LEXIAPEL, MB MODA BORSE, PELLETTERIA VALENTINO ORLANDI, PULICATI PELLETTERIE, RIPANI ITALIANA PELLETTERIE, ROBERTA GANDOLFI.
Italy is Japan’s second largest supplier of leather goods and during the first months of 2017 the same top position in the sector was confirmed by a market share of 18.21% (import by value), which is worth 39.148 million Yen.
This confirms Japanese consumers’ interest in Made in Italy leather goods and, specifically, in the sector’s top product: women’s handbags.
AIMPES – the association of Italian leather goods manufacturers – groups together the most renowned firms in the leather materials manufacturing sector. It looks after their interests and represents them at all institutional levels. Through its services company, Aimpes Servizi srl, the association develops promotional initiatives to stimulate the export of Italian leather goods and their promotion on foreign markets. It also organizes MIPEL-TheBagshow, the world’s most famous trade fair dedicated to bags and leather goods.
The next show will be from 17 to 20 of September 2017, at the same time of TheMicam, the international footwear exhibition and the Milano Fashion Week.
