MIPEL during the past edition became a real happening in the heart of Milan, specifically in the Rinascente – Piazza Duomo for four days of happy hour, fashion and music in a dedicated space to the “Bar della Rina”.
Instead, the first and fourth floors of the department store were the stage for the twenty finalist bags of the contest who involved the exhibitors in the creation of a limited edition product with the theme “Rolling”.
The twenty finalists were: Angivenezia, Carlo Cecchini Rome, D & D Group, Dalaleo, Gabriela Vlad, Harc Paris, Harleq, Loristella, Majestic, MuStè Studios, My Choice, Olop Pelletterie, Plinio Visonà, Ripani, Rv Roncato, Shana 8th avenue and Wild Inga.
For “Feel Your Rolling Bag” competition, all exhibitors had to take inspiration from music and pop culture to create an a bag able to express the values of excellence, craftsmanship and the sum of the senses, in English “Feel”. The contest was organized in partnership with ITA-Agenzia and MISE-Ministry of Economic Development, Rolling Stone Italia and Rinascente.
A jury had selected the first three classified, awarded during the MIPEL celebration night, Monday 12 February, on the seventh floor of Rinascente. On the podium the bags made by Bakarà, Valentino Orlandi and the winner, Spazio If.
Also for this edition, “MIPEL in città”, the “fuorisalone” of the event was a success characterized by fashion, music and great energy.
