At the September edition of Mipel 114 will be presented the final outcome of a project that has involved the excellence of leather goods and Italian design. ASSOPELLETTIERI – Associazione Italiana Pellettieri and YKK, in collaboration with UNIC – Unione Nazionale Industria Conciaria and the High School of Leather Goods of Scandicci, wanted to show the visitors of the fair the complex process that lies behind the realization of a bag.
The symbol of this initiative is the blue leather clutch bag, created specifically for the occasion and inspired by the leitmotiv of the event, the “Memories Box”. A video-documentary will show the stages of realization: from the idea to the finished product.
The bag contains in itself a trace of all the partners that joined the project: YKK has made available its hinges, UNIC – Unione Nazionale Industria Conciaria has supplied the leather and the alumni of the Alta Scuola di Pelletteria of Scandicci have dealt with the design. Furthermore, Las supplied the internal suede linings and Montecristo srl sewed / assembled the clutch bags.
